SRI® College (The Smart Reader International College) was established in 2004 as an expansion project of Smart Reader Worldwide Sdn Bhd which is the largest early childhood education
provider in Malaysia. Eventually, SRI® College has
developed a higher learning institution (IPTS) in 2007. Today, SRI® College is recognised as an institution of higher learning by the Ministry of HigherDue to the growing concerns of the government and parents towards the quality of Early Childhood Education in Malaysia, SRI® College was set up to specialise in the field of Early Childhood Education Care and Development.
Today, SRI® College
is recognised as an institution of higher learning by the Ministry of Higher
Education, Malaysia and highly experienced in the fields of Early Childhood
Studies, English Language Studies and Business Studies. The first campus of SRI® College
was located in Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. Then SRI® College
moved into new campus in Kepong Business Park on the 28th January
2013.
SRI® College offers
five demanding courses which are Certificate in Business Studies, Certificate
in Early Childhood Education, Diploma in Early Childhood Development, Diploma
in Business Studies and Diploma in English for Business Communication. There
are also other new upcoming programmes which are Diploma in Management, Diploma
in Marketing, Diploma in Tourism Management and Diploma in Entrepreneurship.
Besides that, SRI® College
provides scholarships for qualified students. Currently, SRI® College
offers two types of scholarships which are namely Entrance Scholarship and
Performance Scholarship. We are glad to sponsor best students who has obtain
7As and 6As for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). PTPTN loan are provided to
Malaysian only and parents can also opt to withdraw their EPF from Account 2
for their children’s education.
SRI® College is
located nearby KTM Segambut and it is very easy to access as it is the centre
of Pelabuhan Klang and Cheras station. We are currently welcoming students to
join SRI® College for the upcoming intake in January, May and
September. The minimum entry requirement for each diploma courses is three
credits in any subject at SPM or equivalent level. SRI® College
has not only opened its doors to students from Malaysia but also from foreign
countries. Visa application is available for international students.
Other than that, many rewards have
been achieved by SRI® College such as Napei Education
Excellence Award 2010, 2011 and International Star for Leadership in Quality
Award. Industry relevant curricula are consistently implemented throughout the
programmes offered with close partnership with relevant industrial institutions
such as NAPEI, MICCI (Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and
Industry). SRI® College moulding graduates of high calibre for
the global marketplace along with its emphasis on an education that is
holistically competent in philosophy and practical aspects, have proven to be
an added edge for the students.
SRI® College has
initiated collaborations with several internationally recognised universities,
such as University of Hertfordshire in an effort to ensure the quality of
education provided by SRI College is of the highest eminence. These significant
initiatives reflect SRI® College’s renewed emphasis on embedding quality and
recognised tertiary education that forms the foundation of the industry,
business and the community.
Meanwhile, Smart Reader Worldwide
itself has achieved many rewards and has been recognised internationally and
locally in Early Childhood education. The international rewards which are
‘Glory Award’ during THE BIZZ 2014 International Business Award for Business Excellence, one of the most trusted
brands in Malaysia at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2013, Bizz
Latin America 2013 Awards Ceremony held on 27 July 2013 in Melia Cabo Real, San
Jose del Cabo, Mexico, Smart Reader® Worldwide was conferred the coveted Be A
Legend Award and ‘The BrandLaureate Transformational Corporate Leader Brand
ICON Leadership Award 2013′. Smart Reader Worldwide also achieved some local
rewards such as Superbrands 2013, Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2013,
Entrepreneur Par Excellence, Malaysian Women Marketer Award 2011 and many more.

Other than that, SRI® College has
been trusted to run a pilot training programme in collaboration with the
Ministry of Education under the Sektor Sekolah Harian division. This training
programme is aimed for the preschool teachers to enhance their English
proficiency by introducing an imaginative, creative and holistic teaching
experience, matched with specially designed environment that nurtures
children’s learning capabilities.
SRI® College provides
a good college experiences to students. The experience and the variety of
programmes take students beyond traditional college settings. Through
partnerships with industry players, non-governmental organizations, and
government bodies as well as local and international universities, the
curriculum is aligned to be contemporary and industry-focused. SRI® College
actively involves and participates in many outgoing students activities such as
Purple League Sport Carnival, Workshop on Special Needs Children 2015, Workshop
‘Lets Ring the Bell for Technology Pre-schoolers which covered innovative
teaching and learning techniques using online tools and other events organized
and participated by SRI® College.
Students of SRI® College are
also given the opportunities and guidance to develop self-regulatory skills,
such as goal planning and setting where the learning outcome will produce
students who are resourceful and critical thinkers. Apart from that,
visitations, consultations and discussions are also provided to ensure students
are exposed to real life simulations. Throughout their studies atSRI® College,
students will learn to enhance their networking skills through participation in
Inclusive College Experience (ICE), conferences, previews, seminars, talks,
sharing sessions and others.
SRI® College
graduates are in demand as soon as they graduate. These students are well
trained in their field, good command in English communication and well prepared
for the jobs that they are applying for. Graduates can be assured of employment
opportunities in other organizations through SRI®College
collaboration. Besides joining the workforce, students can even chose to pursue
a degree in related fields with SRI® College’s local or
international partners’ university.
